Frequently Asked Questions
Who can have laser hair removal?
All skin types and tones can be treated. Unfortunately, white and very light blond hair (hair with no pigment) cannot be removed. Also, we do not provide any laser hair removal treatments for the eye area and/or eyebrows.
Will all of my hair be gone after one treatment?
No, typically a minimum of 4-6 treatments are required for lasting results. Some people will require additional sessions and/or “spot” treatments to achieve desired hair reduction and to keep treated area hair free over time.
How long do I have to let my hair grow before having a treatment?
Unlike waxing, laser hair removal does not require the hair to be a specific length, in fact it is preferred that the area is shaven and hair free prior to a treatment. Laser treatments will NOT be effective if you have plucked, waxed or removed the hair from the area to be treated in the last 6-8 weeks.
How long do I have to wait between treatments?
Time between treatments varies based on the area treated. You will be given a timeframe specific for you during your consultation.
Does it hurt?
Everyone has different pain tolerance. However, most clients compare the sensation similar to the snap of a rubber band.
What about tanning before or after my treatment?
Tanning and/or sun exposure should be avoided for 4 weeks prior to your treatment and for 6 weeks after. Also, self tanners should not be used for 2 weeks before your appointment. Sunscreen should always be worn when sun exposure is unavoidable.
